By the River Reading Series – October 2021

Join us for our second reading of the 2021-22 season. This month we are featuring Ellie Csepergi and Catharine Leggett.

Artist Bios:

Catharine Leggett’s short stories have appeared in the anthologies Beyond the Norm,The Reading Place, Slow the Pace, Lose Yourself, The Empty Nest, Law & Disorder, Best New Writing 2014, as well as in the journals Room, Event (3), The New Quarterly, Canadian Author, and The Antigonish Review. Other stories have appeared online in eChapbooks, paperbytes (2), Per Contra, and on CBC Radio’s Hornby Collection. Her short story, Caught, won first prize in the Scribes Valley Publishers Contest, and appeared in 2018. Leggett’s novel, “The Way to Go Home”, was published by Urban Farmhouse Press in September, 2019. Her short story collection, “In Progress”, won the Eludia Award, and was published by Sowilo Press in June, 2019. She is a two-time finalist in the Columbus Creative Cooperative Great Novel Contest, as well as the recipient of the Okanagan Fiction Award. Catharine Leggett currently lives in London, Ontario, Canada.

Ellie Csepergi’s debut poetry collection Tiers was released in 2020 by Cranberry Tree Press. An active member of the Windsor-Essex arts community, her work has appear in numerous small magazines and lit publications. She currently lives in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
