Windsor, Ontario’s premier literary reading series
Founded in 2015, By the River is a monthly series in celebration of the literary arts of Southwestern Ontario and world beyond. We craft an open and welcoming space where the works of writers can be enjoyed by our local community. Our series is a bridge that brings writers and audiences and communities together.
What We Do
We provide a welcoming, paying space for poets and writers to share their work with local audiences. Our series receives funding from the League of Canadian Poets and The Writers Union of Canada.
Our readings and events are free and open to public. Author books are available for purchase and our venue(s) are chosen for the accessibility and transit access.
By the River believes in promoting diverse and important voices in the literary arts today.
